Walk round College lake, Tring

Went for a walk round college lake today, thought I would share some of the photos for others to see (they aren't very good though)

First thing I saw was a pheasant (later told it was a black pheasant)

And this rat seemed to be enjoying his/her life here

Then the more usual ones

Great Tits

I think this one had got his head stuck!

The Blue Tits

3 in 1!

Can you spot the sneaky magpie?

Next came the chaffinches

Mrs

And Mr being sneaky and hiding behind the feeder

Further along there were some wigeon

Even further along, a hen pheasant, the only picture I got - see if you can spot it, its not easy!

In flew a little coal tit

Dunnock

Robin

Further along and there were some tufted ducks, gadwalls and shovelers

Mr and Mrs doing some shoveling together

Another wigeon

This was clearly a good feeding spot

Further on... a blackbird eating some berries

A load of mallards

A lucky caught moment

Goldfinches

Some more chaffinches

Some Canada Geese

More Mallard and another tufted duck

The mallards, sleeping or resting

Suddenly there came a huge flock of gulls, that apparently roosted on or near the lake

Some lollipops decided to say hello (or bye), unfortunately this was the best picture I got

It was a nice walk with loads of birds, even though it was grey and a bit wet at the start.

Thanks for looking!

Regards

Benji
