My first sightings of banded damselflies for 2021, but there will be more to come
And a second visit to Middleton Lakes, and the banded damselflies suddenly came from nowhere!

A recent visit to RSPB Conwy, a chaser I think
This dazzling emperor was catching the sun perfectly!
Without thinking about it, I set the shutter to 1/8000 sec, which was probably too fast for the low light level, but it was good to see how the new lens handled the scenario.

They do like the sun and heat before laying, so you never know, on the right day it could be teeming with them.

No, because of this Covid, everything was put on hold but I am going down Saturday staying a week and we are both coming back up so Bev, can see her Sister in law possible for the last time because I might never come this way again Bude is a nice place and we are out in the country with the farmers :)
With he warmth, sun and little wind, dragons, hawkers and damsels were out and about.
The damsels were out and about, getting the heat from the stones.
