Will have to see if I can get those biscuits Wendy, not alas for hedgehogs but there are a few blackbirds around even shaking wings at me for the currants or pastry, cheeky:-)

Slugs and snails ate my seedlings this year so don't know if I should "like" that one Hazy, but it sure has a pretty shell :-)

I know what you mean Gaynor,  tiny slugs cost us hundreds of pounds over 9 years at the last house when they kept finding their way into the automated gate system needing to replace the control panel at least 3 times !     Costly little blighters even though we protected the control box with a special weather proof sealant -  they still managed to find a gap somewhere but no matter what they did we refused to use slug pellets or pesticides.    These slugs were miniscule so always found their way in to slime up the microchip  !!
