Time to start this year's thread of odds and sods (Last year's Odds & Sods HERE)
Today a large flock of 40 or so Redwings descended on the fields around our local parkland and although they were pretty skittish and distant I hard cropped a few pics for you ....
and a blue tit landed nearby !

Interesting to see how each negotiates the brick in their own little way.
I bet the cat still manages to get in with two bricks.....
Its fascinating watching how some animals squeeze through gaps that appear so much small then they are. I recall someone had a border collie, that was almost twice the size of the cat flap, and managed to squeeze through it!

Nearly got away....
A few from the garden. These birds were busily distracting me as I was supposed to be sorting some stuff out in the garage....
Oi, ain't ya supposed to be in front of the camera?
Mr & Mrs, but not sure which is which, but they had a good feed at the base of the feeding station.
Feeding time...
Daytime moon...
Yesterday's sunny sky, (replaced by a dull overcast sky today)
and in monochrome
I had been doing some sorting out, and found my Basha Bivvy. Along with three old trekking poles, helped to make a makeshift hide!
The old car mat made a good base for the seat, stopping the legs sinking in to the sodden ground...
And how the Basha Bivvi should be and was used....
Yes, there are two stools at the back, I was with a friend, who was also a former scout leader
Saw this little one on the canal bridge today in Northampton
Lot to learn
They are Tesco kitten biscuits Gaynor, very popular countrywide from what I read & very cheap too ... so popular in fact that they are frequently not available these days! Next best are from Sainsburys & only fractionally more expensive ... Purina ones are exorbitant price by comparison!
Must try the vinegar trick, better than brick entrance if it works ... must try that on the gravel where a cat keeps leaving a smelly mess, pepper doesn't work!
Red deer and highlands in the local peaks this morning.
