Time to start this year's thread of odds and sods (Last year's Odds & Sods HERE)
Today a large flock of 40 or so Redwings descended on the fields around our local parkland and although they were pretty skittish and distant I hard cropped a few pics for you ....
and a blue tit landed nearby !

Mr Blackcap popped in for breakfast this morning
Oh goodie the starlings are building their nests nearby again this year
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
Sing like there's no-one listening. Great life advice.!!
My bird photos HERE
Lot to learn
Thanks Gaynor, I would love to have a repeat of last years numbers of starling babies in the garden and am sure the moaners will have the council on speed dial if they do

Hard to believe but the cubs seem to be twice the size they were when I first posted about them, and they have also lost some of their little-cub-cuteness (sigh...). Lots of blurred pics, a few of a Squirrel, quite a few with one or two cubs, and a few with Mum although none of her were worth posting. Below is the best snap from last night, cropped and posted by Mr GB. Not bad for a first attempt but trial and error--the camera will be pointing at a lower spot tonight.
Brilliant photo, which I presume is from the new trailcam.
Yes, nature's young grow up very fast, I guess that down to the need to fight (I don't mean wanton violence, more the survival search and feed fight) and survive.
I look forward to more photos.

Lovely photos Linda, and good to see that amid all the turmoil, they're still paying your garden a visit.
A nice selection Bob, and the tawny still look remarkably clear even when zoomed in.
Really Linda, you didn't need to have a pillow fight just to get the wee small birdies back in the garden!
Joking aside, more brilliant photos, and it never ceases to amaze me where these birds find all their creature comforts from....
Brilliant photo Paul.
