I was sent this BBC News link today which shows a rare UK sighting of a Bearded Vulture in the Peak District

Perhaps it thought it spotted roadkill (or a very slowly moving pedestrian!)

Looks as if this magnificent Lammergeier may finally be heading home as she makes more progress south; I hope she does find her way back to the French Alps and lives a long long life. Thanks for the update Alan.

Very close to the coast and heading east. Maybe looking for the shortest channel crossing.

Brilliant update and so relieved to see she's made it to the south coast and hope she now continues on her way safely, good luck Vigo and thanks for visiting England giving so many people a chance in a lifetime to see you, safe travels south to your homeland in the Alps. It almost brings tears to the eyes.
