Bearded Vulture in the Peak District

I was sent this BBC News link today which shows a rare UK sighting of a Bearded Vulture in the Peak District

Thanks for the update Alan, I saw that it had moved to Lincolnshire the other day so was also worried about the lack of suitable terrain and feeding opportunities for this vulture. It would be really sad if it's health declined so fingers crossed the VC can assess the bird and maybe come up with ideas. Carcass drop would be a start but maybe that's already been done as I haven't kept fully up-to-date on events.

Thanks Alan, it's not ideal terrain at all for this poor bird but good to know so many folk are looking out for its well-being, fingers crossed and hope everyone wanting to see this magnificent vulture is giving the bird plenty of distance to keep its stress levels down. It's bittersweet as they say, so special to have this wonderful bird visit UK but nobody who cares about nature would want that if it meant the birds demise.

Looks like the Vulture has moved across county border to new Thorney in Cambs.
Thorney Location: Cambridgeshire Category: MegaDetails: 1st-summer female still over copse distantly south-west of Nene Terrace; please park sensibly and do not obstruct roads, which are required by farmers for access

In the online Telegraph today there was a photo of this vulture stopping the traffic on a road in Peterborough. Not the wisest place to go scavenging.
Unfortunately, it won't allow me to post a link to the photo and I don't want to be sued for doing a screen grab.
