I've been trying for a long time to get a half decent photo of a locally swift in flight, and I finally almost, made the grade, at the cost of a lot of photos, a lot of notes on the camera settings etc etc....
All this taking in to account, the scene is constantly changing, so no benchmarks available, cloud, no cloud, brilliant sun, just sun, etc etc.....
All I can say, damned good job its digital, and not film, I'd be beyond bankrupt.
So here is the latest efforts..
Uncropped and probably the closest they came, to give you an idea of perspective. The lens used was the Sigma 150-600 Contemporary.

They are, plus the narrow window of view with all the trees, along with houses, so I don't have time to pre-empt the flight path.
I've had better swallow pics, but they were out in the open.

They are tricky made harder by the narrow window of view with the trees and houses, so I don't have time to pre-empt the flight path.
