Fabulous garden feeders and feeding birds

  • These days I have been really freaking out about finding food for both myself and my birds. You also know that a terrible disease is happening. And at the supermarkets around me, I ran out of stock, out of food needs for both people and pets. Was I really a headache on this issue? Fortunately, I have found some reputable sites on the website and amz. I find this topic interesting? At least for those who are in a situation like me, I can completely share their help. By the way, can I share some of my photos? I will share it with your permission, Mike
  • Blue Tit enjoying the fat balls....

And a cheeky grey squirrel having a nibble, or two....

A wood pigeon on the seed feeder....

And again, a cheeky grey squirrel on the fat balls, though I think this may be a Mrs, showing her bits....

  • Blue Tit having a good feed!

One of many blue tits that come to our bird feeders, though this one was having a good feed, rather than nipping in and out quick!
Apologies for the poor video quality, it was filmed from inside the kitchen, along with a light that had just switched itself on, well, the timer switched the light on, we have no spooks here, that I know of!
  • A wood pigeon flying up to the feeder. Alas it never managed to get on, but it made for a nice take off pic....

  • Like the Wood Pigeon on the feeder Mike, they look too big to balance up there somehow but it gave you a chance for a good pic.

    Lot to learn

Thank you Gaynor. They do have a problem getting on to the feeder, very often misjudging the small platform to land on, and have to abort. It's quite funny to watch, but one or two manage to make the landing, and careful use of the wings, manage to keep their balance.

Even funnier, once one makes it on the feeder, others come scurrying in to feed on what drops to the ground!

I keep trying to get a video, but a combination of I'm too slow or the light is wrong keeps snagging my attempts, but I will, one day...

  • A blue tit from a couple of days ago,

The light was just about right to enable cropping of the photos. The 2nd & 4th pics are heavily cropped

  • A couple more from the garden feeders

    And squirrel damage!

  • That darn squirrel Mike! But we love them really Laughing

    (Pardon the Scottish Accent)

  •  A couple from today in my garden

    Squirrel proofed once again...not!
