In my garden.....

So instead of starting a new discussion everytime I get new visitors or decent shots of wildlife in the garden I shall just keep adding to this one.

So today it was the Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 of them chasing each other around the trees

Just managed to catch the 2 of them together

Then it was Woodpecker v Starlings....yes I see yous up there

Move out of my way as am coming up...

I said moooooove...

you were warned...

ah...peace to eat at last..

I Dont mind sharing with the dunnock though, just those pesky starlings I dont like lol

Dunnock, robin and thrush happily hopping about together

Gorgeousredwing still around

Flying without wings.....

I just like the different colours of the trees and sky not all grey for a change!

Mr & Mrs RRB (bad pic but it difficult to get them together)

and up last its a wee lollipop

Think that will do for today as I have probably bored you all long enough lol

Another great selection, including little Jenny hiding away. I'm waiting and hope to catch one when they start to belt out their tunes in Spring. Obviously Foxy has put on another stunning show.

Cheers Nige..that was pure luck catching wee Jenny so close to the house for a change! Sooo cant wait for spring as snow is still here and ponds are still frozen...

Thanks Hazel, He was just in the garden for a wee drink there the noo...am guessing water might be a bit scarce the now as everything is frozen solid!!

Hello Linda

Lovey photographs. I got into bird watching during the first lockdown. Working on my laptop in the back garden. I was amazed how many birds were in my relatively small garden. I now spend a small fortune every week on suet and seed.

Thanks Matthew...it can become a very addictive and expensive hobby but well worth it in my book..ts a pleasure to get such wonderful visitors in our garden...nice pics

Good to see your garden still so busy Linda, glad Mr Fox is keeping you under his thumb, he is so handsome. Two Robins good, maybe male and female so look out for some speckled youngsters before too long. Frozen water here too but maybe it is a tad warmer today.

Thanks Gaynor, I love hiw the birds just go about their business when hes in the garden.....I have actually spotted 3 RRBs in garden so hopefully will have a successful pair. Its defrosting here today..very slowly.....Mercury rising finally!
