Bird count question

With the bird count if we get say 2 sparrows at 11:10 and 2 again at 11:40 and that's it for that species for the hour is that a total of 2 we put down for the hour as it's a max of 2 at one time? Or 4? Thank you!

    As Rob says, you should only count the birds you can see at any one time as they could be same birds returning for more food within the hour period and would give a false count.
