I've probably seen more small torties this year than any other, nice to see a good year for the flutterbys.

Certainly is, what a very pretty pupa with it's gold highlights ... do you have kitchen paper on bottom of pot to catch the 'blood' ?

We've quite a few large whites fluttering around the garden.

There has been a huge flush of Large White over here - fields full fluttering about - it's been very pretty to see.

We've had up to 8/10 about the garden at any one time over the past week, even with the rain. Must be a good year for them, lots of people growing brassica's?

Found 2 Toadflax Brocade caterpillars on some Linaria today (first time seen here!)

To my surprise, within the same pot of flowers - a Silver Y?

I'm chuffed to bits with those, Wendy, though disappointed that I missed capturing a Red Admiral on the Buddleia which would have made the collection even better!
