Lovely Nige, great images!

I've always wanted a Chimnet sweeper moth, never seen one though. Great shots of the Large Skipper. I fancy they are a bit earlier than usual this year. I wanted to go & do a trap tonight but the wind is cold & beasterly (made up word) !

I've never heard of a chimney sweeper moth. It reminds me of the time I had three or four Ringlets flying around each other in the garden a few years ago and they appeared almost jet black and were stunning.
Also, I've just read on the Dorset Wildlife Blog about the 'June gap'. Apparently it's the delay around June between the early and late double brooding butterflies and also before the single brood butterflies, so there you go!

Unfortunately Apple, Microsoft etc. are all trying to get you to store everything on the cloud (Internet) so they can grab your monthly fees when you eventually get through the free limit. Less and less is actually free nowadays.

For info, my budget set-up is an Apple iPad Air 2 (awesome graphics, video, etc) to view photos and videos (£400), an Apple iPhone 7 (free with work) to take the photos and videos, and a 1TB usb hard drive connected to my broadband router (£60) on which to store everything.
I use Filebrowser to paste copied photos from the iPhone's Photos app onto the wifi hard drive, and to then view slideshows on the iPad once they have copied.

I'll never compete with the awesome resolution of your SLRs and macro lenses unfortunately, however my iPhone is always in my pocket!

Nice shots Nige. Well done with the Chimney Sweeper shot, in my experience they don't like to settle anywhere for long.

And I thought I was a cynic!

But, so true, it's all about grabbing the money, not just with computers, but smartphones as well. With smartphones, if your music is online, then  that's ok to a point, so long as you have a reasonable signal, but once you hit no signal, no music!

Have you noticed that storage is getting less, and the ability to insert a micro sd card is now a memory (yes, there was intention of a pun there)!

Nige, its not just W10 where useless programs are being dumped on us, but smartphones as well!
