Starting with a first for me ... Sparrowhawk in neighbour's garden here in quarry, only ever seen a seemingly lost youngster many years ago!
Grabbed ID vid footage through d/glazed door, then battery died & by time I'd replaced it to go outside for better res a delivery driver stopped next door & frightened the bird off!! grrrrrr
Hope it's a one-off for the sake of my Spadger horde!

Hello everyone. Thought you might be interested in this little happening.
These are two robins from separate families that were collecting mealworms on my hand (for their young). This actually happened multiple times over the course of this past breeding season. A third robin whose territory they were all in (my garden) didn't seem to mind the robin on the left ('Tamey') but had a grudge against the one on the right ('Spindly'). He was the least tame and rarely ate from my hand so he could rarely interrupt once the others were on my hand.
Wow Josh that is amazing. I have been trying with my Robins for years now. The recent fellow comes into the garage for his suet pieces, even helps himself from the dish on the shelf and sings and dits about, sits on hubbys work bench and golf clubs, leaves pressies on the head covers! Maybe I should be brave and get the real mealies!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

At the last house the grey squirrels had a penchant for the Echinaceas I planted - I decided not to plant any more or they would be consumed and I'd be left only with bare stems lol
Wendy, is that just the dried ones that you soak, so they are not wriggling around four hands?! Does Titch hand feed, I can't remember?
