Starting with a first for me ... Sparrowhawk in neighbour's garden here in quarry, only ever seen a seemingly lost youngster many years ago!
Grabbed ID vid footage through d/glazed door, then battery died & by time I'd replaced it to go outside for better res a delivery driver stopped next door & frightened the bird off!! grrrrrr
Hope it's a one-off for the sake of my Spadger horde!

Unknown said:Super shots Mike, especially love the last photo showing the Maggie in flight with those magnificent range of blue/black/green colours.
Thanks Hazel.
There is a certain majesty when the sun catches a magpies plumage and brings out the iridescence.

Lot to learn

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Any skid marks?
And I don't mean in the underwear dept!
One grey squirrel, stopped in its tracks as soon as it saw me!
And a magpie passing through....
