Starting with a first for me ... Sparrowhawk in neighbour's garden here in quarry, only ever seen a seemingly lost youngster many years ago!
Grabbed ID vid footage through d/glazed door, then battery died & by time I'd replaced it to go outside for better res a delivery driver stopped next door & frightened the bird off!! grrrrrr
Hope it's a one-off for the sake of my Spadger horde!

So I was sitting on the couch watching tele about 8.50pm almost dark and I could hear a bird singing...It was so loud I thought a window was open ....nothing out the front and I couldnt see anything out the back...then at the very top of one of the conifers...
Singing its heart out for about 20 mins...
And listening for a reply..
simply wonderful
Lot to learn

Probably the lack of road kill, insufficient food supplies.....
They'll be queuing at the supermarkets soon! LOL

A gull, most likely a herring gull, but happy to be corrected, spends a lot of the afternoon flying around here, solo. Whether its alone, or seeking food for its partner and the young ones I've no idea.
Quite a moody sky yesterday morning.....

How about this sunset over Conwy Castle (N Wales) from August 2019
