Starting with a first for me ... Sparrowhawk in neighbour's garden here in quarry, only ever seen a seemingly lost youngster many years ago!
Grabbed ID vid footage through d/glazed door, then battery died & by time I'd replaced it to go outside for better res a delivery driver stopped next door & frightened the bird off!! grrrrrr
Hope it's a one-off for the sake of my Spadger horde!

A few from the garden today.
Blue Tit (nest building going on in an old House Sparrow box in one of the trees in the garden).
A bit closer than I usually like to frame them, but I couldn't really get any further away from him.!! :-)
Dunnock. Nest building is going on in the top of one of the taller Conifers in the garden (around 20ft up). I had always thought of Dunnocks as nesting within 3 foot or so from the ground.
Fun fact: Apparently the Dunnock is a relatively new lower altitude bird, being confined mainly to more mountainous areas in up until the end of the 19th century. The female builds the nest. :-)
My bird photos HERE
Trail cam at 9.05am this morning.

Are they ok to be looking so scruffy?
