Starting with a first for me ... Sparrowhawk in neighbour's garden here in quarry, only ever seen a seemingly lost youngster many years ago!
Grabbed ID vid footage through d/glazed door, then battery died & by time I'd replaced it to go outside for better res a delivery driver stopped next door & frightened the bird off!! grrrrrr
Hope it's a one-off for the sake of my Spadger horde!

Only had one shot at the little gold crest before it was off into the conifers
Lovely Dunnock against beautiful blue sky!
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
Lovely photos everyone, here's a Common Buzzard (one of two seen together) today; beautiful sunny morning/afternoon with no breeze :)

Walk in Tatton Park today and took me over an hour to find any deer as they were at the far side of the Park mostly out of sight;
these are pretty little Fallow deer
what a cutie pie …..
and along came three dogs off leash ! ……...………………...………… goodbye deer !
The red stags were distant too
and an even more distant Fieldfare, one of over 100. I was waiting patiently to capture them up in the trees as they fed but sadly 50 or more were spooked when two dogs ran towards the woodland :( several more followed through and went out of sight so you only get a distant pic when I first encountered them. They will be heading northwards now back to Scandanavia and maybe eastwards towards Russia. I will miss the winter thrushes when they leave our shores.
If the fieldfare was more distant than the red deer...… then is it 8 foot tall? Lovely captures Hazel. I may have to venture into the New Forest to see if there are any deer about....after packing of course .... under supervision lol

It was, how did you guess ? lol
this is what I really saw ……. some deer were where the furthest fallow were - almost in another county lol
Hi PB we drove up from Arne this pm through Pimperne, you didn't put the flags out?
