Starting with a first for me ... Sparrowhawk in neighbour's garden here in quarry, only ever seen a seemingly lost youngster many years ago!
Grabbed ID vid footage through d/glazed door, then battery died & by time I'd replaced it to go outside for better res a delivery driver stopped next door & frightened the bird off!! grrrrrr
Hope it's a one-off for the sake of my Spadger horde!

gaynorsl said:Good handy perch for the Wood pigeon Mike, nice to see as I don't get any in the garden, plenty of ferals though. Also good to see the Siskin Linda, lovely little bird to have visiting.
Thank you Gaynor. We have quite a few wood pigeons that frequent the garden, and always a source of entertainment, especially when they feed from the feeders.

With the inclement weather we've all been enjoying, nature has still been busy, and spring is coming...
The daffs in the garden are growing well, and about on track for flowering, as normal, around the end of March to early April.
However, what isn't normal, the daffs in the second photo, which are nicely advanced on the daffs in the first photo, are usually a week or so behind the others!
Hi Mike- your daffodils bloom any day now - in my yard are a few coming up, too, but not so many.
Here some mixed shots of mine for odds & sods.

Finally got a half-decent shot of the Black-shouldered Kite. I was looking at some storks nests with my bins & it came into my field of view. It was very close & grabbed camera & took shots before checking settings. Never mind. I'll keep trying.
They are very photogenic, just always a bit too far, but lots around.
Best wishes
