New male who I've named Colin gave us a miss over Xmas & New Year's day so was very pleased to see him this afternoon, giving me a reason to start new thread in the hope there's some romance this year!
Grim & grey day here so light was bad for pics @ almost 15.00
Resolution in vid was a great improvement ... he looks almost too pretty to be a boy!! Trademark ending though ... start as you mean to go on!

Lot to learn
A tracker is a wonderful idea. We could have a whip-round for some nets
Meantime - here's how far behind I am - there was activity at the nest site on Monday morning, but no cosiness between the two. What two? I ask myself and have no answer.
IMAGICAT
Looks like two of the juvies in that ex-Jackdaw nest & the male in original nest with a juvie squawking at him from down the way, likely hoping for food! Always quite difficult to tell juvies from adult females!
You could see it squawking too Gaynor! Just remembered we have sound ... definitely a juvie calling!

I have to trim my internet usage, as apparently it's the amount I'm downloading that's causing the problems I've been having. Regretfully, I'm discontinuing the dear Kestrels, and maybe another one or two streams, henceforth
If anyone notices activity that demands a restart, I'll have a rethink so's to cover it. WENDY has, unbeknownst to her, been roped in to let me know
Struck lucky in finding male Kestrel flying in, this is silent version as on tablet so scroll back to 10.42 to hear his sounds https://youtu.be/s7ORZycwOhs He visited nest to have a quick scrape https://youtu.be/tFTV5Efc6Qc Will look again later, have to deliver a birthday cake now!
