New male who I've named Colin gave us a miss over Xmas & New Year's day so was very pleased to see him this afternoon, giving me a reason to start new thread in the hope there's some romance this year!
Grim & grey day here so light was bad for pics @ almost 15.00
Resolution in vid was a great improvement ... he looks almost too pretty to be a boy!! Trademark ending though ... start as you mean to go on!

Good news!
I could hear human voices 10 mins after the fall, and moments after fourth juvie appears back in the nest cave.
Here's four and a mum later.
Kind regards, Ann
You are a star, SWEETWING! There's nothing like a live watcher!

I only found a very vague hint of voices, and @ 18:52.20 the stream cut out - it resumed immediately but I cannot find any sign of the eyas returning :'(
So here it is just falling:
That's all I need, a very fraught start to the day, compounded by mega domestic electronics upheaval

I've just found out why - they got a ladder and put it back!
No kestrels done today, yet, as you can see :(
Lot to learn
We have another unfortunate event! This time involving two juveniles.
At 1.08am one of the juvies was trying to get to the front of the entrance of the cave. Pushed another one, and as far as I could tell they both fell.
Well spotted Sweetwing, think it was only one fell after being pushed by another, what do you think?
View from inside nest at same time
Currently can only see two!
Have sent info & vids to Carnyx asking if any are on the ground!
Heard from Peter, one is safe in a ventilation hole below the nest but no sign of fourth one yet!
I'm wandering thru downloads from the 18th in a desultory manner, trying to be calm after yesterday's fraughtness ;)
Another birdlet down the hatch:
3 pretty eyases:
FOUR waiting for breakfast on 18 June:

To be continued.
There seem to be only 2 in the nest at the moment - none showing outside.
