Geesies.

Evening all. Apologies for not posting much of late, I've been a bitf pre-occupied and busy with some other stuff for a while and I haven't been getting out as much as usual.

I did manage a trip over to Loch Leven this morning before the rain started, so just a few pics from then. Pretty quiet bird wise apart from lots of Geese.

My first Whooper Swans of the Autumn.

Lots of Greylag Geese around today.

Flying this way...

..and that.

A few more shots.

Incoming...

Outgoing...

Passing by.

And the Pink-foots are back.

In growing numbers. :-)

They'll be in amongst you before you know it.!!

  • Well, I suppose the warblers et al are retreating so it's nice to see that the Whoopers and Pink-feet are returning ... and giving you something to see and photograph :)

  • Hearing flyovers here of Geese returning to Caerlaverock and Mersehead - not sure whether any Barnies are here yet.
  • I have missed your photo posts Paul as I browse your latest thread. Wonderful photos and good to see the Whoopers and Pinkies heading back in :)   ……. as well as yourself  LOL

  • In reply to Eagle-eye:

Thanks folks. It was a bit dull this morning but still good to get out again.

I counted a dozen this morning and the sightings board in the visitor centre listed around 50.

  • Good to see your photos Paul, was beginning to think Mrs P had done a Victor Meldrew on you and buried you in the garden:-)

    Lot to learn

  • Thanks, Gaynor. Over the years Mrs A has threatened to do far worse things to me than just burying me in the garden. :-)
