This is the carry on thread from "All about Insects 2018" here https://community.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/f/all-creatures/196071/all-about-insects-2018
I had a lovely Minotaur Beetle around the UV trap this morning, my first ever!
Apparantly this is their time of year!
All insects, spiders, beetles, flies etc etc welcome,
A lovely beetle and a good start to the insect year! I've only seen a couple of swarms of tiny flies so far, when the sun has shown its face.
Very smart looking first-footer H ... black as coal! Lol
Smart looking beetle .... don't think I've ever seen one. I had to look up why they are so named. Apparently, it's because of the three horns but I expect you knew that already. LOL
Good start to the insect year. Roll on for the first butterflies.
This is a Turtle Shield bug & quite a small member of the familly. Ron found it on his Lambs lettuce yesterday, but I don't think it was eating, just lingering!
& this Rosemary Beetle was on.......the Rosemary (well it fell off actually)
