Well where have I been that I have missed the last few days of Mr K, thougt I had caught up! He most certainly is keeping the rat population down Wendy, and some size they are too. He is so handsome sitting the sun taking in all his surroundings. Thanks for the lovely photos and videos.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
What a handsome lad he is. Let's hope a nice young lady turns up before spring. I love the way how meticulous he is in keeping his plumage in good condition. Obviously no shortage of rodents to keep him well fed. Excellent videos and photos, Wendy

Mr K's visits on 4th Jan start with him bringing breakfast rat to Tower Restaurant
I have to say he looks like a Kestrel that eats a Rat a day, rather plump in this photo (Kes not the Rat). I hope too that he stays well away from poison areas, fingers crossed.
Best wishes

Thanks for your comments & interest ... Mr K was around yesterday but early as we got up & couldn't get to him in time! However, he came at a more reasonable time today with his current favourite choice of meal ... made me laugh seeing him down that tail!
Recording started off outside but it drizzled & half is through double-glazing ...
wow - tales of the unexpected as he swallowed that lol think he should be renamed to a Gannet ! He's a cracker of a bird Wendy and nice that we can share your wonderful views of him .

Wow, he's doing a great job of keeping the rat population under control. I thought he looked a bit queasy as the tail went down. I could do with him in my garden as there was a pretty large rat that wandered across the lawn a few days ago,
Super filming Wendy, certainly beautiful Bird, and hope keeping your Rats under control.I
s it just me, or do there seem to be more Rats this year?
Have footage & pics but can't now post until tomorrow!

I still have the two daily visitors to my feeding area TJ but really hope Mr K doesn't go after them as they could well be poisoned by neighbours!
