Had myself a visit to Saltholme yesterday primarily to see the Black necked Grebe pair, unfortunately they stayed at spotting scope distance so no photo's. I did manage to get the Ring necked Duck, and a few others though, and it was great to be out in the warm sunshine.

Really lovely photos of some stunning birds Terry, the Little Ringed Plover, Avocet and Tree Sparrow would be birds I'd like to see.
Lot to learn
Superb set of photos, Terry. I've never seen a Ring-necked Duck - what a smart looking bird. Avocets are such elegant looking birds and I love the LRP with its yellow eye ring. Sunny weather makes such a difference to photography doesn't it.

Thanks everyone, your comments are always appreciated, sad that the BNG's were out of camera range (well my photo's were pretty poor), but it looks like they are pairing up, so who knows, they may nest there.
