THIS THREAD IS NOW DISCONTINUED, please add to the new 2020 thread HERE
Often we don't have enough photos to create a full thread so thought I'd start an Odds & Sods thread where you may want to add a pic or two when you don't have enough for their own thread . Feel free to add your rogues gallery here !
I only had a couple of pics today, one a Treecreeper and the other a very hacked off looking Great Egret huddled against the reeds trying to keep warm !

This has been the best year I have ever known for Redstarts. I spent the morning on Quantock Hills. At least 10 - 12 of them, only 2 were females. The most I have ever seen in one location.
Another couple of Male Redstarts
Sorry, hope you don't mind just 1 more, absolutely stunning birds.
No need to apologise for such fabulous images Paul, never had the pleasure of seeing one!

Just spotted this Jackdaw in the garden this morning, seems to have a touch of Leucism - but strangely enough I'm pretty sure it's only on one side ! I'll have another look if it returns.
(Record shots only as the sun was reflecting something chronic through the widow - not that I'm complaining about the sunshine) lol
post edit: it returned an hour or two later and it does have a slight white line of leucism on its wing feathers on the other side but nothing like the left side seen in the photos. When it takes flight the wings really show up with a lot of white on them. The corvids, ducks, tits, nuthatches and robins are eating me out of house and home at the moment lol
Lot to learn

A couple of pics through the window of Mrs Mally who has taken a liking to lounging in one of the pond baskets, despite the pond plant fertiliser spikes poking into her !! I'll remove the fertiliser sticks when she's gone off to roost tonight in case it encourages her to lay two dozen eggs LOL
as always, Mr Mally is not far away on sentry duty .............
