i know hooded crows are exclusive to scotland but i have seen some in holyhead anglesey i saw it in a wilkinsons car park, then more came most times that i have been shopping to holyhead i have seen the hooded crow, as recently as last week i saw a hooded crow just outside amlwch in anglesey, so are these hooded crows here to stay i do hope so, these hooded crows i saw were the genuine article as i have seen hooded crows when i was on holiday in scotland last year i filmed them when i was on holiday. have you seen a hooded crow other than scotland?

HI there yes hooded crows have been seen on Angelsey they are now begining to spread Alan
i say always look on the bright side of life, as you cannot see anything on the other ?
hi thanks for replying i am glad you have seen them, you never know i might see a hooded crow in my back garden as lots of crows visit my garden, jackdaws, magpies, rooks, carrion crows. and would you belive it a chough visited my back garden last year another member of the crow family. and i think it is disgraceful and misguided with regards to the looming crow cull crows kill to survive but cats kill for the fun of it why don't they cull cats there are too many of them, i have seen cats attack a birds nest killing all the chicks just for fun i saw a cat rip the head off a colored dove then play with the dead bird then it just left it there, i know i have gone off topic but i had to say it.
Historically Hooded Crows used to occur in Britain down to the south coast in winter, as did ravens :)
Maybe one day they will make a come-back

i have seen ravens fly over my house heading towards neighbouring wylfa, and i have seen them when i was in wylfa big birds especiall when i have been yards from one when i was in holyhead, i was walking past a building site i looked up and saw a raven perched on the scaffolding poles, that was a wow moment, and its one of those times when you wish you had a camera .
There's still ravens doing ok down in South West. Occasionally hear one round here (SW coast) & often see them & almost always hear them on visits to SW moors / heathland.
Hi skyblastomega1 and welcome to the RSPB Forum. Enjoy yourself here
I have only seen Hooded Crows in Scotland so far - a couple of years ago in central Inverness.
These birds where searching out tit bits by the town river, Shy they where not by what I could see.
I have heard Ravens at the RSPB Lodge, Sandy a couple of years ago, and seen Ravens while on holiday in Menorca where they are easily seen on a daily basis.
Here is the Hooded Crow seen in Inverness

Sometimes in the wind of change we find our true direction (unknown)
There's been one or two Hoodies at Reculver in north Kent for most of this winter.

Hi
Do believe hoodies can be seen on the estuary going into Dublin .
So if a ferry can do it can't see why a hoodie can't
