THIS THREAD IS NOW DISCONTINUED, please add to the new 2020 thread HERE
Often we don't have enough photos to create a full thread so thought I'd start an Odds & Sods thread where you may want to add a pic or two when you don't have enough for their own thread . Feel free to add your rogues gallery here !
I only had a couple of pics today, one a Treecreeper and the other a very hacked off looking Great Egret huddled against the reeds trying to keep warm !

Forgot to add this to the end of my trip shapwick heath...I stopped at the river on my way home as light was so good
Nothing overly special, though the ice around the pond fountain did look ornate, along with the iced netting....

Unknown said:Lovely photo capture and wonderful to see the storks Hazel especially the returning Black Stork which is notching up the years ! well done, wish I was there lol
Some years we search for weeks as it's very crafty & spends most of it's time in hidden ditches. Not so lucky today, went off to the town where there can be Wall-creepers on the old monuments in winter, but no sign, we only found discarded beer cans etc.
Best wishes

Real great to see them get along so well. Only once saw a single juvenile Black Stork.
Just for interest, I spotted this at Pennington at the beginning of December ...
I reported the ring and found out the bird had only been ringed about 10 days before in Gloucestershire. BHG's obviously like to get around!

Nice photo Nige and well spotted with the ring code, that gull was well travelled unlike one I reported a few years ago in my local area where the report came back that my BHG had travelled zero miles LOL it was also ringed pretty close to where I found it proving it was more a stationary homing pigeon than BHG !
