THIS THREAD IS NOW DISCONTINUED, please add to the new 2020 thread HERE
Often we don't have enough photos to create a full thread so thought I'd start an Odds & Sods thread where you may want to add a pic or two when you don't have enough for their own thread . Feel free to add your rogues gallery here !
I only had a couple of pics today, one a Treecreeper and the other a very hacked off looking Great Egret huddled against the reeds trying to keep warm !

Perhaps not the commonest bird to see wandering across a Scottish field.
Taken from inside the car (I didn’t want to get out in case it flew away).!! ;-)

Three from RSPB Bempton Cliff last month.
Lot to learn
One of the little owls today, first time seeing one of them in the bright sunlight. Usually they lurk in the shadows and stare at me passing. 20 months now since coming across them in the local valley and all we do is stare at each other. At some point I'd like to see some hunting action or maybe something other than the stare. I do have a picture of one of them with a bloody beak and must have been hunting behind my back but then quickly flew up to a branch to stare as I passed....
great photos all.
Sometimes when you are just finding your feet and new to the area a spot of feather tidying can knock you right off balance and you end up with (ahem ! ) muck on your face !!
(record shots of a young Avocet chick)
