THIS THREAD IS NOW DISCONTINUED, please add to the new 2020 thread HERE
Often we don't have enough photos to create a full thread so thought I'd start an Odds & Sods thread where you may want to add a pic or two when you don't have enough for their own thread . Feel free to add your rogues gallery here !
I only had a couple of pics today, one a Treecreeper and the other a very hacked off looking Great Egret huddled against the reeds trying to keep warm !

You're doing better than me, Hazel. I was there for around an hour before I spotted it.!!
This one was a wee bit easier to see. :-)
My bird photos HERE
Garden birds ......... starting with our semi resident mallard drake; it's amazing how well he is settling in and learning to trust us as we potter in the garden, he's more nervous than the female but this was taken when I was only about 4 metres away ............... he used to spook into flight if we stepped outside the door before !
showing the serrated inside of his bill
someone beginning with J viewing what tasty nibbles are on offer down below .....................
I have stopped putting out whole peanuts for the smaller birds but make an exception for the Jay as they don't start breeding until end April/beginning May and incubation is around 17 days. Peanuts only go out if I am there and once the Jay has had its fill I remove the rest.
This is Dinky wren .............. possibly !
The buzzard saw a chicken I had put out for the corvids and came into the garden although I spotted it late - the corvids as always, chased it away !
he was much closer than this but by the time I spotted it, it was perched in the far oak tree.
Finally folks ................. don't forget to kibble your nuts !
Rock Pipit on my local beech taken this evening.
Three Female Black Redstarts on my local beech this evening, sadly no males...
Two Males in my local woods squabbling over territories today.....
A few random ones from yesterday. Plus a clip of the wren singing, sadly focused on the branch above but still a lovely sound.
Came across this I took in February, and showed it on Leighton Moss Facebook page and I have a had very nice feedback, so might pack in wildlife and start taking people lol
