THIS THREAD IS NOW DISCONTINUED, please add to the new 2020 thread HERE
Often we don't have enough photos to create a full thread so thought I'd start an Odds & Sods thread where you may want to add a pic or two when you don't have enough for their own thread . Feel free to add your rogues gallery here !
I only had a couple of pics today, one a Treecreeper and the other a very hacked off looking Great Egret huddled against the reeds trying to keep warm !

Your camera is working well Hazy, even through the window Wilma is looking sharp and clear.
Lot to learn
Four pictures from last week.
very nice additions Jim; can't wait to do it all again next week LOL Today is blowing a hoolie, just been to put the feeders out. Almost had to wear a crash helmet in case the twigs or branches blew from the trees !
Sometimes they don't.
On the old forum, when you clicked a notification, it took you to the post in question, not the oldest or newest, which is what happens now. I then have to scroll to try and find the post in question, often never finding it, which is what prompted the apology posting a while back.

That's all you can do.
incidentally, this reply and CL's, when I clicked on the link in both notifications and on the email to advise me of the replies, I was taken instantly to the initial post of this thread, which required scrolling through to find your replies!
Thanks Hazel, and its not long to go now :) feeling a lot better tonight so should be ok for next week.
A quick trip to Woolston Eyes at Latchford and my first sightings this season of Bramblings; unusually, one female was on the feeder.
(only record shots from distance)
female Brambling .......
Brambling pair feeding on the ground with other finches and Moorhen ! ......
one female brambling was ringed;
here is a male G.S.Woodpecker who is also wearing some bling !
and there were two pairs of Bullfinch ..........here's one of the females and she's wearing bling !
Everyone put on their best jewellery for your photos, eh Not seen many Bramblings yet, apart from that one when we were at LM. I keep seeing reports of big flocks but they just pass through and don't stop.

Most years we get a pair in the garden but not usually until it gets really cold and mostly January onwards so fingers crossed a pair might till arrive. Sunflower hearts are hanging in front garden awaiting them !!
