I made the most of the dry morning to head down to Felixstowe Ferry - as luck would have it my friend the ferryman was just about to take his boat from the jetty to its mooring point. Did I want a short ride? You bet:
As luck would have it my camera was still set to counteract the effect of indoor lighting, which led to this interesting blue cast to this photo! I must confess I rather liked it.
Normal daylight resumed!
The good rowing technique was being rather undone by the incoming tide.
I like to see the different boats at their moorings.
It was a cold day for a sail!
What is he evilly grinning about?
Looking downriver.
A distant oystercatcher.
Here comes the Godfather!
'I was comfy up there until you turned up.'
Never mind creating a rumpus......just preen.
Finishing with a turnstone.
Enjoy!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Thanks, Clare!! - I enjoyed the trip!
Liked the 'blue' effect....
I always enjoy your captions, too!
Very nice set Clare, I like the boat scenes and also the Godfather flying in with purpose lol
