Limpy and I were about to head out on another (fruitless) hunt for the waxwings which continue to torture the birders on this side of Suffolk! As I was waiting at the car for him I was snapping what happened to be about.
I got this gorgeous blackbird in our back garden earlier - I had to include him.
Whatever happened to him?
A female in much better shape!
A jackdaw letting me know he's a bit wary of having a camera pointed at him.
He gets distracted. They are very expressive birds.
Finishing with a herring gull.
I seem to be getting lots of birds on roofs lately!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Lovely to see your garden beauties and like you I love the Jackdaws with their expressions ! Quite a tatty male sparrow so maybe he'd just taken a bath or been beaten up by the "Mrs" lol

I'd say your Male Spadger is relaxing after a good long bath.

Lovely, Clare, I especially like the Blackbird and the Jackdaw.
Kind regards, Ann
Don't Jackdaws have lovely eyes when you get close enough to see them. Unfortunately, it has been a while for me, so your photos are welcome!
