It hasn't exactly been an ideal day for photography today - the conditions have been rather dull and damp. Nevertheless both Limpy and I had our cameras with us this afternoon as we planned to try to see some local waxwings. First, though, Limpy had some shopping to do in our local Homebase, which meant I stayed with the car to guard the camera gear. I'm glad I did as some of our local birdlife were having fun on a nearby roof:
There were several gulls up there. This one was queue-jumping.
I really wish that post hadn't been there.
'Who hasn't cleaned up behind them?'
'Was it you?'
'I'd just stay out of his way, if I were you. Fussy so-and-so.'
Finishing off with a nice preen.
No, we didn't go on to see any waxwings! This particular flock were avoiding us.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Never mind, Clare, you will see them eventually!
Kind regards, Ann
To be honest I'm very happy with the flock we saw in Norwich last month. In the meantime, I'm always happy to snap our local gulls!
Good decision to stay in the car Clare or you would have missed this lovely gull action !

Neatly done, Hazy. Photoshop?
lol Clare, Lightroom 6 (five minute edit so not brilliant)
We have ducks walking around the forecourt of our local Lidls in the Springtime, must take my camera sometime too. Your gulls are very active Clare, I wonder how much food is dropped from the shoppers, my hubby used to say that most people came out of the shop with food in hand!! Well done Hazy with your disappearing post.:-)
Lot to learn
