Thanks for the welcome and kind remarks. I didn't realise there was a width restriction for the images. I'm sure if you use your mouse & "save picture as" you'll be able to view the full image.

Great shots - just look at that beak! You wouldn't want to be upsetting that!
I think there's a width restriction on photos because if they're too large (or for example, big links) it throws out the layout of the forum pages for that thread.

Just recently joined the RSPB to get more info on the birds I'm coming across and where to spot more.
I used to do a lot of walking (with dog) but my eyes were firmly looking at the paths. Now my walks are somewhat relaxed (no dog) and I'm starting to look at thing more closely.
Call it a "mid-life crisis" perhaps but I can't understand why I didn't spot them before.
BTW I've corrected the file sizes so that you can see the whole image.
