  • Littleowl I envy you!

He's absolutely gorgeous, and you're right, he does seem to be growing up very nicely!

He's even starting to get his little white spot on his neck, bless.

I've noticed my mum gets a juvenile one in her garden along with all the other wood pigeons, so I'll have to envy you both!

Please keep us updated on him, or perhaps catch him so I can have him?! :-D

    Becca.

  • Hi Becca,

I have to say he or she Is quite a character to watch.I also had two new juvenile Woodpigeons arrive today I wonder If they will stay around! If I get too many young ones I'll send them your way. :0)

  • Well now I really do envy you! How do you do it?!

I don't get any juvenile wood pigeons! Although I am pleased we finally do get an adult one, it's the one that got pinned down by the cat in our garden before we put the fence up, and we bought him inside and released him in the morning, I'm so pleased he's back! I've named him Peter :-)

We also get some Collared doves too, but to get a picture of them I'd need to be camouflaged, big time! They fly away even if I just walk past the window!

Maybe I'll hope for a nice Juvenile Wood Pigeon for the garden for my birthday then, it might be too late to send one though :-( Nevermind, there's always next year!

    Becca.

  • Hi Littleowl,

he's certainly growing up into a handsome chappy.  Its amazing how the colours of their feet and eyes change too.

I have one juvenile visiting too who's spending his days sitting around  - and of course, hoovering up as much seed as he sees fit!
