I couldn't believe my eyes - right on the top of my shed in full view. Naughty birds. I just managed 2 quick pictures, through glass from an upstairs window.
Hope the patter of tiny feet come my way!!!
Cheers, Linda.

Well that's how babies arrive Chris (LOL) Great capture through a window. No doubt they will come and see their Gran for a good feed.

Wow, you do get some cracking photos, Sparrow. Well done indeed to capture those. All life seems to pass in front of your window. LOL

Hi Sparrow
Super shots of the Chaffinches being affectionate with one another.
I can see the eggs any day now.
Never seen a juvenile Chaffinch yet - have you?
Regards
Kathy and Dave
An amazing shot, you must have been fast!
Kind regards Jane.
Great pictures as usual Sparrow!

If its no fun Yer no doin it right!
Thank you everyone.
My camera is always there or thereabouts, and I set it each morning according to the weather, so if I see something I can simply point and shoot. I am lucky because my office window (upstairs) overlooks the whole of the garden. The majority of my pictures are taken from up there, and the birds have no idea they are on candid camera!
I've never seen a baby chaffinch, but the photo in my book shows them with very spikey hair on their crown, like punks.
Oh Sparrow, i don't feel like I should be looking, LOL!
Well spotted anyway - i hope you get to see Chaffinch babies too :o)
the pair of Chaffinches that have started visiting here are now coming separately - fingers crossed that means one is sitting on eggs while the other one feeds.
