Just over the fields from us is a pair of lapwings nesting, the male and female will fly around callin a bit before both land and the female walks to the nest thats hidden behind a bit of rough grass in a small dip... i watched from the gate for the last week but yesterday was the only change i had to get a picture so with my cannon i tryed... the result was better then i thought...

i am hoping that i can follow them this year as they nested there last year but i couldnt get anywhere near them and when the chick hatched it was a job to see in the tall grass..............
dont just look enjoy and leave for others to share after you. we dont own the earth we just rent a small part of it....
Great photo of the lapwing Derek
