Yesterday late afternoon this little beauty turned up on the small pond and rockery area; the Wrens are in full song, busy searching for nesting spots, talking of which I will put up a thread later showing the WoodStone nest box which now has a new owner !! so who do you think it is ??
Here's the delightful little Wren; the colours looked slightly different in the evening sunshine
So, who do you think is the owner/occupier of the WoodStone box ? It has a 32mm hole.

Gorgeous pics Hazy of your wren, they are usually so hard to capture I find.
Who is the occupier of the Woodstone box you ask, well depends where it is - high up or low down, you'll have to give us a clue!
Lot to learn
Thanks Gaynor, they are so vocal at the moment and we must have at least two pairs of Wrens.
The nest box is on one of the Oak trees about 12 feet up !!
OK, confirmed our suspicion - Cyril.......

What a cutie. Wrens are not easy to photograph so the girl done good.
I don't think even a Cyril could get through a 32 mm hole - could it?

Thanks Tony, the garden seems to be filled with sound of the Wrens at the moment, presuming that is the males ? Fortunately they are not overly shy so I was able to stand at three metres away with the camera; this one was so chilled out it was dozing off at one stage as the late afternoon sun caught the rocks.

A lovely little bird.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Morning Catlady, as you say, the Wren is such a lovely little bird, it's been foraging again this morning so chucked a few live mealies out for it - which the robin saw first lol
Must have missed this before Hazel. Lovely pics of the Wren, such a charming little bird.
Kind regards
Jenny
