Well, after finding fake dolphins and with the weather for the hills not looking great, had a change of plan yesterday and decided to go to Chanonry Point to see the dolphins! It was well worth the trip!

my photo's here
Thanks :D It was amazing, I want to go back again!
What wonderful shots KatTai, the first two I love, but they are all brilliant with the sun on the water you have caught them so well.
Lot to learn
Thanks :D I got loads of photos of them, most are just dorsal fins though LOL
Thanks KatTai, the Moray Firth is a fair way from here and I appreciate being able to share your trip through these fantastic photos! The first and second are particularly good, being there with the sound and the spray of them splashing must have been amazing!
Yeah, the salmon were leaping out of the water to try and escape the dolphins too! Amazing to watch!
Great captures KT, wonderful to be able to share! Thanks

Excellent photos, KatTai! You are easily ranging across ospreys and dolphins, always with great results :-)
I had information on Chanonry Point from a birdwatcher I incidentally met while we were both taking photos of ospreys over River Spey. I now realise how he was right in recommending it!!!
It was my last session and I was already en route to Edinburgh to catch my flight home, I need to wait for another opportunity next year... Grrrrr!
Thanks Roberto! Would highly recommend chanonry point - about an hour after the low tide is when the dolphins arrive. Makes me sad thinking that people go to all these holiday locations to see captive dolphins forced to perform tricks when there are dolphins putting on an amazing display completely of their own accord up here in Scotland!
