Those Starlings really have no sense of decorum do they?
Unicum arbustum haud alit duos erithacos
(One bush does not shelter two Robins)

The words 'decorum' and 'starlings' just don't belong in a sentence together!! It would be like trying to imagine a quiet rookery.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
You are capturing some great colours on the starling and the stately rook, smashing pics and good to read.
Lot to learn
Great set of photos Paul - it really does look as though that tree is growing starlings! I have a set of them that behave like that - zooming in and scattering all the other birds, then squabbling amongst themselves! Enjoyed the captions - very entertaining!

Thank you all for your very kind comments. One of these weeks something a wee bit different might show up. Starlings and Sparrows are always chaotic and very noisy. It's just great.!!
Like you pics Paul, captions are great, cheered me up too :)

Thanks Birdie and Starling. There's never a dull moment when groups of Starlings are involved.!!
Great set of pic's Paul, I really enjoy your captions.
