Not the best photo, but the 1st I've ever seen - Osprey flying over Hayle estuary, Cornwall, and then being chased off by a crow or Rook! Gives you a good idea of how massive they are against the other bird
Best wishes, Jayne

Thanks Bob-was a treat to watch! Next on the agenda is it's promised me some close up shots of it hunting for fish, lol!

Great shots, so unusual to see an Osprey;) It's always intrigued me how large raptors can be put off by much smaller birds - I guess they feel vulnerable because they maintain height by soaring on the thermals and aren't as agile as the corvids, for example/
Fabulous photos Jayne. In the right place at the right time, and quick with the camera. Thank you for posting them.

Great pictures Jane.. I cannot see any sign of a ring though. Those osprey watchers down in Cornwall will love those pictures.

Great shots, Jayne. Corvids seem to take great pleasure in harassing birds of prey.

Great photos, Jayne! I think it's a rook from the greyish beak.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
You are having a great time with your camera, Jayne. I admired your black winged stilt photo's this morning, look in now and you have produced osprey photographs. Fabulous. Thank you.
Wonderful Welsh Lass - marvelously captured. Most fortunate you! and thank you for sharing
Thanks for the lovely comments everyone-so glad you enjoyed them. The Osprey is being seen on a daily basis at the moment, as I don't live far away I might get another view hopefully!
Best wishes,Jayne

What we need more than anything is a ring number if the osprey has one. Then we can have a scramble to identify the bird.
