I was just teasing and building a bit of tension. Having driven 80 miles I wasn't going to let a bit mist put me off(-:). Besides I couldn't see anything else so I waited for the sun and it gradually came.
As it was so far away, I thought I would try the 1.4 converter with the 400mm lens and go for manual focus.
So what did she do next - naturally she went.
and i rushed to get rid of the converter and try and find her as the light continued too improve.
Here she is, even further away.
While keeping half an eye on the Osprey, other things were happening. A Wren showed in the Reeds.
A pair of Great Crested Grebes modestly displayed to each other and even dived for weed.
And then when half an eye wasn't watching, she moved
and dived into a pool behind a line of trees
and came back into view.
So it looks like the mist delayed breakfast, which was after all good for me.
I'll post the rest of the photos (non Osprey) later.
Cheers,
Bob

WOW! Bob, wonderful! Wow! WOW!!!!!!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Oh, Bob, you lucky person! What a great sequence! Could you see any rings on your Osprey? I hope we are so lucky in a couple week's time at RSPB Arne!
Kind regards, Ann
Another fantastic set/sequence of photo's BRN. How lucky you were. to me, a self confessed ospreyholic, well worth every one of your 80 miles!
Marina Kyriacou
I don't do motorways BRN. took a 6 hour train journey to Perth to See Lady at Loch of the Lowes as no one knows if she'll return again. A bit like the L'Oreal advert - she's worth it! I had a great time there, beautiful reserve.
Splendidly awesome and outrageously outstanding !!! Bob
what terrific pictures
Just down the road from me . Saw my first Bittern here as well as a lonely Whooper Swan - took off from the lake like a Concorde giving a call and flew over the path I was walking on only just above my head ! My, they are big
Very well done STINGRAY - if only I could have got a look at her. You did the right thing
Absolutely lovely photos

Brilliant Bob! What a fab thing to see and well done with the pics. I would have been in such awe, I would have forgotten I had a camera!
Stupendous:-) I bet you slept well that night, and still have a big grin on your face.
Lot to learn
Thanks again BOB! :-)
