With Skye and Frisa in their second week of incubating their precious eggs, views were expected to be few and brief....... Happily it seems, both of our Loch Frisa eagles had very different ideas! Several occasions over the week have seen them sitting out on what has now become their regular perching tree, basking in the sun and showing themselves off proudly to visitors.

We were even lucky enough to have Frisa sat on the rocks in full view getting harrassed by a plucky Raven, giving everyone in the hide a chance to compare the size of the majestic eagle and its nagging neighbour...... it was like watching a squirrel having a go at a wolf!!

Towards the end of the week, we had a suprise visit from one of the juvenile White-tails from the east coast reintroduction scheme, playing around with one of Mulls youngsters from last year, tumbling and grappling in the air for over an hour....... Great stuff!

But it hasn't just been the eagles keeping us smiling, the supporting cast have been doing their best to steal the show........ Golden Eagles, Whooper Swans and a female Hen Harrier were just some of the highlights of the week.

For me though, seeing the White-tailed Eagles for the first time ever has been an awesome experience, it's been a great start to this years project, and with only 3 weeks left until the eggs hatch, the excitement just keeps building and building!!
