has any one seen any water fowl at Radipole lake?
Happy birding!
Winters a very good time to see a variety of waterfowl at Radipole Lake. We have Gadwall, Shoveler, Tufted Duck and Shelduck on view from the visitor centre almost daily at this time of year. We also have a very interesting duck, a Hooded Merganser. The species comes from North America but we are not sure exactly where this one has come from but he might have flown across the Atlantic Ocean?
The Buddleia viewpoint is often a good place to see diving ducks such as Pochard and Tufted duck plus we have had a female Scaup around recently.
So to answer your question, yes, we got loads of waterfowl at Radipole Lake.
