What a brilliant weekend. First the Kestrel chicks at Arne on Saturday then this morning went to Radipole, saw a Reed Warbler feeding 2 young near the concrete bridge then witnessed an amazing spectacle in the North Hide with 2 Marsh Harriers and a Peregrine - see comments under photo - then couldn't believe that Simon King was walking towards us with a party so just had to tell him about it too then spoke to one of his party a bit further on who were photographing Bee Orchids who said they were on holiday with him, had been to Portland first and then were going on to Lodmoor after Radipole. We were going to Lodmoor next but didn't see them, shame or would have taken a photo. What a great advert for Weymouth Wetlands that he had taken them there. Don't know if they popped into the VC after, as they hadn't been in there first as we went back to enjoy more food and drink in the new VC and tell Luke about it all. Good sausage rolls too and yummy cakes!
Very jealous! Not only Marsh Harriers and Peregrine, but a celeb to boot!
Jo T Always on the side of the feathered guy!
