Last November I was lucky enough to visit a wetland area a bit bigger and a bit different from ours.
Keoladeo National Park in Bharatphur, Rajasthan, stretches over nearly 30 sq km. The vast areas of shallow water had recently been partly dry due to over-extraction, but has in 2011 been re-flooded. In 2 weeks I notched up 174 new species on my personal list!
