Hi Sean. The patches in question are the first conservation cut reed compartments of the winter. Much more work along those lines required before the winter is out. See blog attachement below for a lowdown on process and its purposes.
Question two _ have no idea how the otter evening went but I know that they have been really well received previously. Luke, Chris and I were watching an otter in Blanford for about an hour yesterday. Amazing!
