Water Rail

I'm sure Water Rail's are one of our more challenging birds to get good images of due to its reclusive nature, finally got this one today after a very long wait.

After a career in education, I'm now retired and finally found time to pursue an interest in birds and photography as well as putting together a website C & A's Wild Images. Living in Norfolk, provides an ideal location to see wildlife particularly birds.

hi Alan, very well done capturing such a lovely photo of the Water Rail, as you say, not easy to photograph at the best of times as they can be such elusive birds. Worth the wait eh ? !!

At Titchwell at this time of year you're almost guaranteed at least on Water Rail sighting.

And usually less than 100 yards from the Visitor Centre.

Popped out recently for 30 minutes and saw 3!
