Grand day at Titchwell

Titchwell at its best today, glorious blue skies and a sprinkling of interesting birds. Pectoral Sandpiper, Little Stint, Curlew Sandpiper, Spotted Redshank, Greenshank, Ruff, Hobby, Red Kite, Marsh Harrier, Spoonbill and fantastic light to see them in. Photo of Hobby making a swift about turn to catch a dragonfly attached. Peter

Cheers Bob, wasn't immediately clear how posting more than one photo at a time worked.

Need to look top right to see why the Hobby has executed a rather abrupt change of course!

Ruff (or Reeve in this case as it was a female)

Been staying in Wells since Friday and leaving tomorrow - hoping the weather is the same in the morning as I should have 3-4 hours there again before heading off, sorry to have to leave!

What fantastic photos, Peter - I hope you make it back there in the not too distant future.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
